Burning man this year was a lot of fun. We stayed with a camp of Santa Barbara, LA, and Reno based dubstep DJs called 'Dude Fucking Hell Yeah'. I didn't shoot much because I was totally overwhelmed by the scale and insanity of Burning Man plus it was just such a pain to lug my gear around and protect it from the dust. Here's what I got when I took my camera out with me.
This is my friend Jordan's medieval summer camp, A Hard Days Knight. It's up in Northern California. These are the pictures from a one day visit. This was between camp sessions so it's just the counslers hanging out and working on projects.
My friend Matt teaches at a martial arts temple in Santa Barbara. They needed some pictures for their website. These were taken at an evening class taught by Matt and Reese focusing on hand and arm training and a morning tai chi class.
Lightning in a Bottle is a music and arts festival outside of Santa Barbara that attracts a lot of the local Burning Man and electronic music populations.
